  1. The weather has finally turned more spring like. We are enjoying our crochet covered flowers:

At this time of year we like to stock up on colourful sock yarn, perfect for pretty spring projects.

We are picturing lots of colourful socks and shawls and can't wait to see what our customers make.

We have a beautiful new crocheted shawl in the shop just now:

It is a Sirdar pattern made up in Country Style, beautiful Spring colours. 3 balls of 389 Smokey Stone and one each of 390 Tana and 618 Snapdragon.

However if you make it in one colour then it only takes 4 balls. Beautiful and a bargain!

We hope you like our new website.

I have been feeling out of my depth with all the technology and social networking and decided that everything needed reorganised and revamped. So welcome to our more slimline website and blog.

Firstly, I have removed a lot of stock from the webshop. We can't compete with the numerous web based discount yarn stores and selling lots of discount yarn is not what Marmalade Yarns is about. So now we will only be selling selected kits and some special offer yarns. We are always happy to post anything we stock and will still take telephone orders, so please contact us and we will be happy to help.

The fantastic Marmalade Courses are listed for your information. If you are interested in booking on a course or just want some more information please e-mail or phone.

We also now have a page to introduce you to all of us so you know who we are when you come to visit.

Maxine has been busy posting on facebook for a while and I hope you enjoy following us. I have set up some pintrest boards and am struggling to stay off them, losing hours of my life browsing all the amazing images, only go on pintrest if you have a few spare hours! We have a twitter feed but I am sorry to say our tweets are few and far between, one of the social networks that I really struggle with.

So let us know what you think of our efforts, any tips on how to keep all the balls up in the air will be gratefully received.
